Ilam (IP) - The people of the city of Ilam in western Iran commemorated the 23rd night of holy Ramadan, the third night of Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Destiny) by attending the city's mosque.

Iran Press/Iran News: The nineteenth, twenty-first and twenty-third nights of Ramadan are called Laylat al-Qadr and the Muslims commemorate these nights every year by praying and reciting the Quran.

These nights are also the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH) the first Shia Imam.

This year, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, some 25 places have been considered as the proper places for performing on Laylat al-Qadr rituals where the morning ceremony is being held through observing the health protocols as well as social distancing.

Ilam province is one of the provinces with a stable situation in the face of coronavirus.
