Tehran (IP) - President of European society of medical imaging informatics said contribution of European Society of medical imaging informatics in the conference in Tehran is so important to launch this collaboration and improvements.

Iran PressIran news: "I am honored to be invited for AI in medical imaging conference as a representative of the European society," Erik Ranschaert the president of European society of medical imaging informatics said in an exclusive interview with Iran press on the side lines of the conference in Tehran.

He is a scientist leading projects on AI applications in medical imaging, working on how to use AI to optimize the work flow for analyzing medical images for facilitating the radiologists to do their work.

 "A session called EUSOMII (European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics) academi is held in this conf. which is a contribution of the European society to this meeting," he said.

"It is very important to organize meetings like this because we have to create awareness of the advantages of AI and offer ways for communicating between computer scientists and medical doctors. So we can collaborate and develop the best possible solution," he mentioned.

"So I think this meeting is so important to launch this collaboration and improvements in this field," Ranschaert said.

The first conference on AI (Artificial Intelligence) in medical imaging kicked off on Sunday in Tehran, with leading researchers and pioneers from around the world attending.
