Nigeria (IP) - The Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) said 1,866 children were orphaned due to the government's clampdown on their peaceful religious activities following the 2015 Zaria genocide.

Iran PressAfrica: While briefing journalists in Abuja, the Secretary of the Academic Forum, Abdullahi Muhammad Musa, said that the Nigerian government under President Muhammadu Buhari had put the country's sovereignty up for sale following the complicity of Saudi Arabia in the ordeal of the IMN leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky.

Abdullahi recalled an interview with Time Magazine, published on April 5, 2018, three years after the Zaria massacre, in which Crown Prince of Saudi Kingdom, Mohammad bin Salman reportedly boasted of Riyadh's success in the suppression of Sheikh Zakzaky in order to stop the influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
