Chinese Vice President, Wang Qishan, on Monday met with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, in Beijing.

 

 At this meeting the Egyptian foreign minister hailed the deeply-rooted Egyptian-Chinese ties, which were elevated recently to the level of a strategic partnership. 

The Egyptian foreign minister highlighted the pivotal role played by Chinese companies in bolstering Egypt’s development, especially with regards to implementation of mammoth national projects. 

Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan, in his part, congratulated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for winning a new presidential term, noting that 'Egypt today is a stable country'.

Chinese Vice President underlined China’s keenness to be involved in development projects in Egypt.

Wang Qishan  underscored his country’s interest in promoting ties with Arab and African states, noting that Egypt is the locomotive of the African and Arab worlds. 

Egyptian foreign minister, Sameh Shoukry, will participate in the Ministerial Meeting of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum on Tuesday.
