Iran Press/Iran News: Hossein Modarres Khiabani said at a meeting of the Sistan and Baluchestan Economic Working Group in Chabahar on Friday that Chabahar has a good opportunity for the transit of goods and exports, and all processes should be facilitated to increase its exploitation.
The caretaker of the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade stressed that Mining in Sistan and Baluchestan is one of the capacities and it is very important for us to explore, process, and export them faster.
Modarres Khiabani went on to say that Border crossings are important capacities for development and Iran has the capacity to use these potentials.
Noting that $1,000 billion is the value of the market of the mines in Afghanistan and that Chabahar has the opportunity to export these products to various countries, he noted that we have no restrictions on production under corona and are still working to solve problems and market needs.
The port of Chabahar in southeastern Iran is of great importance to India due to its strategic location and closest access to landlocked Central Asian countries such as Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.
Chabahar port, with its 300 km water border in the Oman Sea as the only ocean ports in Iran, outside the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz on the shores of the Makran Sea (Oman), has a very important role in developing trade, export, and import of goods and fishing.
