Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking to Iran Press in the opening ceremony of the 13th international tourism exhibition and 33rd national exhibition of handicrafts the official further pointed to the status of Iranian handicrafts and tourism in the world and added, "Certainly, the global cities and villages of handicrafts that have raised Iran's ranking in the world to the first rank can be new tourism destinations for those who are interested in art tourism."
"Those who wish to travel to Iran can stay in boutique-hotels that are fully decorated with handicrafts and create an artwork. Closely participate in handicraft art events in the country and at the end of the trip take what they have made as a souvenir of the handicrafts of 31 provinces," she added.
Mahmoudian expressed the hope that handicrafts and tourism could bring together activists from both fields with the aim of synergizing the impact of the art economy.
The 13th international tourism exhibition and 33rd national exhibition on handicrafts kicked off on Wednesday, February 12, at the international permanent fairground in Tehran on Wednesday, with Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts and some foreign officials involved in tourism in attendance.
