The heads of the three branches of the Iranian government condemned the anti-Iran EU move in blacklisting IRGC, calling it part of a hybrid war against the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic.

Iran PressIran News: President Ebrahim Raisi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie held their weekly meeting on Saturday afternoon, discussing key issues of the country.

The meeting was held two days after the European Parliament passed a non-binding resolution that called for designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization.

The top Iranian officials called the resolution part of media, psychological and economic warfare in which enemies have been defeated due to the vigilance of the Iranian people, as well as their support for the revolution and achievements of the Islamic system.

Raisi, Qalibaf, and Mohseni Ejeie stressed that the IRGC is part of Iran’s military might and armed forces, which has served the country over the past four decades.

In a non-binding vote on Wednesday, the European legislative body backed an amendment added to an annual foreign policy report that calls for "the EU and its member states to include the IRGC on the EU’s [so-called] terrorist list."

On Thursday, The European Parliament in the resolution welcomed the UK's preparation for the inclusion of the IRGC on its list of so-called terrorist organizations and called on other countries to do the same.

The blacklisting would include the IRGC military force, the Basij force, and the IRGC Quds Force.
