Iran Press/America: The announcement on Tuesday capped a months-long search for a Democratic partner to challenge US President Donald Trump in November.
Biden on Twitter called Harris "a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country's finest public servants."
"Together, with you, we're going to beat Trump," he said.
Shortly after the announcement, Trump tweeted a video advertisement calling Harris a “phony” and saying she attacked Joe Biden for “racist policies.”
The 2020 United States elections will be held on 3 November 2020.
