Tehran (IP) - Belarus has extended an invitation to Iran to participate in the upcoming Eurasian sports competitions.

Iran PressEurope: This invitation comes after a meeting between the Ministers of Sports of both countries during the UNESCO member states' sports ministers' gathering.

Dmitry Koltsov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Iran, met with Hamid Sajjadi, Iran's Minister of Sports and Youth, where they discussed expanding cooperation in sports and youth matters based on a memorandum of cooperation between the two nations.

The Belarusian Ambassador officially invited the Iranian Minister of Sports and Iranian sports teams to participate in the Asian Games held in Belarus next month.

Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Belarus are members of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Based on an agreement, 502 Iranian export goods have received preferential tariffs when trading with these countries.

Tehran's membership in the union has created new opportunities for Iranian businessmen to develop economic relations with these five nations.
