(IP)- Head of the Iran Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) prioritized preferential trade agreements and barter trade in the Iran-Vietnam negotiations.

Iran PressIran news:  Mehdi Zeyghami, the head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), met with Luong Quoc Huy, the ambassador of Vietnam to Tehran, today, and the two sides discussed business matters, coinciding with the visit of the Vietnamese parliament speaker to Tehran.

In the meeting, representatives from Iran and Vietnam discussed business plans regarding the visit of the Speaker of the Vietnamese Parliament to Tehran. They also explored potential collaborations between Vietnamese and Iranian businessmen.

It was also decided to prepare a list of businessmen from the two countries and invite them to attend the business conference that will be held in Tehran with the presence of the Speaker of the Vietnamese Parliament.

Vietnam's Luong Quoc Huy expressed interest in learning from Iran's experience with preferential trade agreements and bartering. He hoped to facilitate knowledge transfer to benefit Vietnam's trade industry.

Zeyghami highlighted that it had been five years since the joint economic commission between Iran and Vietnam was established. He urged for the commission's establishment, which the Vietnamese ambassador to Tehran welcomed.
