Iran Press/Middle East: Hussain Abdullah Marhoon Rashid, 26 and 3 other activists, had been convicted for a blast in Al-Doraz in October 2014.
The explosion occurred on March 2014, in the home village of Bahrain's most prominent religious authority Ayatollah Isa Qassim, west of the capital Manama.
Bahrain's supreme court of appeals on Tuesday, rejected the appeal and upheld the death sentence against Marhoon, according to Iran Press.
A Bahraini criminal court had sentenced Marhoon to death. It had relied on statements extracted under torture.
Bahrain, which is home to the US navy’s Fifth Fleet, has banned the main opposition groups, barred their members from running in elections and prosecuted scores of people, many described by human rights groups as activists, in mass trials. 101/213
