Tehran (IP): The Minister of Interior of Iraq called for the conclusion of memorandums of understanding for scientific and research cooperation in the field of security between Iraq and Iran.

Iran PressIran News: According to Iran press on Saturday, Iraqi Interior Minister Abd al-Amir al-Shammari pointed out that Baghdad is eager to develop and improve the prospect of security cooperation with Tehran, and said: "The continuation of scientific and research cooperation to serve the issues of interest of friendly and brotherly countries and to establish an integrated approach for military planners and leaders of both sides is strategic and important."

He further called the international conference "Engineering of the New World Order" which is being held by the National Security University of Iran (Imam Baqir) in Tehran, as a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences and keep pace with regional and international changes that affect the security aspect of international relations and may create great challenges for many countries.

Iraqi Interior Minister also called for the conclusion of scientific and research cooperation agreements and other cooperation mechanisms based on coordinated security thinking and studies based on common security aspects with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari has traveled to Tehran heading a delegation to participate in the international engineering conference of the new global order.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Interior of Iraq, the administration of Imam Baqir University (AS) honored the Minister of Interior of Iraq, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, for his distinguished management in the administration of the Arbaeen Hosseini walking pilgrimage ceremony, which is considered one of the largest ceremonies in the world with a million people in attendance.
