Iran Press/Asia: In Men's Single Scull, Nasiri secured a gold, defeating rowers from Thailand, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan, who stood in the next positions accordingly.
Malaei also won gold in the Women's Lightweight Single Sculls, followed by Kazakhstan and Vietnam.
She will be competing in the final stage of the lightweight single sculls on Sunday, according to Iran’s rowing federation website.
Both athletes had taken gold medals in the 2019 Asian Rowing Championships in South Korea in late October.
The 2019 Asian Rowing Cup kicked off on Dec. 18 in Pattaya, Thailand, and will wrap up on Dec. 22.
