Isfahan (IP) - Vank Church of Isfahan hosts Armenians for Christmas celebrations and religious ceremonies.

Iran PressIran news: Vank Church is the oldest and most beautiful church in Iran and one of the historical and tourist monuments of Isfahan, located in the Jolfa neighborhood, and Armenians come there to perform religious ceremonies on the first days of the new year.

Christmas is the most famous celebration in the world, it is celebrated on the birthday of Jesus Christ (PBUH).

Armenians are the largest group of Christians in Iran, who mostly live in the cities of Isfahan, Tabriz, Urmia, and Tehran.

Earlier, Bishop Grigor Chiftchian, the Grand Caliph of the Armenians of Azerbaijan, in an interview with Iran Press in Tabriz appreciated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for his statements and said, it has caused Iranian Armenians and Christians to hold all their religious ceremonies peacefully.
