New York police on Saturday reported a fight with a gunman in the city of "Yonkers" in New York State.
The incident started Saturday afternoon when officers were sent to a home on Livingston Avenue to conduct a welfare check.
According to US media, Police say an individual inside the home threatened the officers and fired shots at them. Officers then returned fire.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
Access to several streets in the city is currently blocked, and police have ordered residents of the neighborhoods to stay indoors. 219
