Iran Press/ Europe: Hundreds of Shias and Muslims from different countries living in Italy, including Pakistani, Iranian, Afghan, and Lebanese Muslims, participated in the Arbaeen Trek in Legnano, northern Italy, on Sunday.
Also, during the past days, Arbaeen ceremonies were held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic, the Islamic Association of Imam Mahdi (AS) in Rome, and the Cultural Center of Imam Ali (AS) in Milan.
Lovers and followers of Imam Hussein (AS) who could not travel to Iraq and participate in the Arbaeen Trek held a symbolic event in their countries with a large presence.
As one of the most extended treks in the world, the Arbaeen procession is considered an international religious ceremony to unify Muslims further.
The Arbaeen mourning ceremony is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, which marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (PBUH).
Every year, pilgrims from all over the world in Karbala commemorate the anniversary of the 40th day of the martyrdom of the third Shia Imam Hussein bin Ali (PBUH).
