In a phone call with his French counterpart, Iran's President said that we call for full implementation of both sides’ commitments in the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/Iran news: Hassan Rouhani said to President Emmanuel Macron of France that despite its living up to commitments, Iran hasn’t still seen any considerable move by the other side.

The President also referred to the fact that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has explicitly announced Iran’s commitment to the nuclear deal 14 times, calling for acceleration of Europe’s actions and effective financial mechanism within the framework of the deal, Iran Press reported.

He also described the latest move by the US against the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as very provocative and unprecedented in the history of international relations.

If it were not for the devotion of the IRGC, today at least two regional countries were under the control of the ISIS, he continued.

He added that the Iranian government is determined to ensure security in the region and stop escalation of tensions.

The President also went on to appreciate the sympathy and humanitarian aids of France in the recent floods in Iran.

The French President expressed willingness for the development of Tehran-Paris ties and said, France and its European partners are seriously pursuing their commitment to implement all JCPOA contents.

Emmanuel Macron added that France is closely following the developments in the region and will do whatever it can to make sure Iran’s interests are secured.

France and its European partners will do whatever they can to persuade US to ease sanctions against Iran, and without a doubt, the role of Russia and China is very important in this regard, said Macron.

US President Donald Trump designated Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization on Monday 8 April 2019.

This is the first time Washington formally labeled another country's military a terrorist group.

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps has a key role in fighting the US-backed terrorist groups in the middle east region.

The IRGC provides advice and assistance to fight the Takfiri terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria, following official requests from governments in Baghdad and Damascus, an action that is by no means appealing to the president of the United States, Donald Trump.101/202
