Hormozgan (IP) -Southern city of Bandar Lengeh plays an important role in Iran's increasingly important non-oil exports.

Iran Press/Iran news: The manager of Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO), Ghasem Askari Nasab in Southern city of Bandar Lengeh said on Sunday that some 123 thousands and 593 tons of non-oil goods (mainly cars) have been exported through Bandar Lengeh port and other affiliated ports which show a 24 percent growth compared to previous year.

According to Iran Press, Iran's top PMO official explained further that the volume of non-oil transited goods in the last two months have reached 62 thousand and 69 tons which shows a growth of 46 percent.

The Southern port city of Bandar Lengeh plays a key role in Iran's non-oil commodity exports as well as transit of goods.

The city which is also known as the 'pearl port' in the Persian Gulf is like the shining star which attracts tourists form the United Arab Emirates and other Persian Gulf Arab states. 203/211
