Iran Press/Asia: Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Saleem Mandviwalla in an interview with Russia's Sputnik on Sunday said that the current situation in the region requires the wisdom and vigilance of all parties, and all important actors in the region must play a role in promoting peace and development.
Emphasizing that Pakistan has excellent relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said, "Iran cannot be isolated and such action should not be taken."
Mandviwalla stressed that recently, adventures against Iran have been carried out in the form of accusations, the consequences of which will be to the detriment of peace and stability in the region.
He added, "The Islamic world can no longer step on the path of war and such a thing is not possible; the occurrence of any war will have dangerous consequences and cause other countries to enter into such a confrontation and can even expand the scope of this war."
Referring to the US sanctions against Iran, he said, due to the coincidence of Coronavirus outbreak and sanctions in Iran, the world must rescue humanity. The international community must act on the basis of a humanitarian approach to lift sanctions on Iran.
Despite the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus worldwide and the need to fight it all out, the United States insists on its sanctions within the framework of maximum pressure policy against Iran and repeatedly imposing new sanctions against Tehran.
