Tehran (IP) - The 25th anniversary of the martyrdom of 8 diplomats working in the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mazar Sharif, Afghanistan was held on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Iran PressIran News: In this ceremony, which was held with the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the President's Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs, deputies, advisors and some other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the participation of the families and survivors of the martyrs of Mazar-e-Sharif, Hossein Amir Abdullahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

FM in a speech Honored the martyrs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Afghanistan and appreciated the patience of their families.

he emphasized the pursuit of the rights of the oppressed foreign policy martyr colleagues who were martyred while performing consular and diplomatic duties.

In this ceremony, some family members of martyred diplomats also expressed their opinions about the martyrdom of their husbands and fathers in Afghanistan and expressed their satisfaction at honoring the martyrs of Mazar Sharif.

They also demanded to designate a day in the country's national calendar as "Diplomat Martyrs' Day".
