Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed the relations between Tehran and Muscat and the most important regional and international issues in a telephone conversation with Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi on Thursday evening.
In the phone discussion Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated: Oman has always been a reliable neighbor and friend of Iran, and the growing relations between the two countries will be strengthened with the visit of His Excellency, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said to Tehran.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman also said: "The countries of the region will shorten the long way of development of the region by working together."
The relations between Iran and Oman in the last few decades, despite the tensions in the Persian Gulf and US efforts to intensify Iranophobia, have always been based on mutual respect and interests.
Omani officials believe that close relations with Iran are based on realism and consider Iran as a great neighbor.
The two countries do not have any territorial and border disputes with each other.
Iran's support for Oman has been positively and permanently imprinted in Oman's historical memory.
