Iran Press/ Iran news: On May 25, 2000, the Israeli regime suffered a severe defeat against the resistance of Lebanon's Hezbollah and as a result was forced to withdraw from southern Lebanon, which has become known as the "Eid of Resistance" in Lebanon.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of South Lebanon from the occupation of the Israeli regime, the Eid of Resistance and Liberation, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian sent separate messages to the Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bouhabib and Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, congratulated the Lebanese government, nation, and resistance of Lebanon on the occasion.
In these messages, Amir- Abdollahian called this great victory the result of the unity and solidarity of the army, the resistance, and the people of Lebanon, as well as the efforts and sacrifices of the fighters of the resistance and the heroic nation of Lebanon.
Every year, the Islamic resistance movement of Lebanon commemorates the day by holding a special ceremony, which marks the series of defeats of the Zionist army and the beginning of the chain of victories of the Islamic resistance movements in the region.
This year, the celebration of the historic victory of the Lebanese resistance movement in 2000 was accompanied by a special military exercise, which not only gave a special effect to this ceremony but also created new concerns for the regime.
