Iran Press/ Iran News: Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in Pretoria, South Africa today (Thursday) to participate in the BRICS summit.
According to Iran press news agency, "Hossein Amirabdollahian", Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, talked and exchanged views with " Subrahmanyam Jaishankar ", Minister of Foreign Affairs of India.
In this telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on some issues in the agenda of bilateral relations.
The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic and India also discussed the BRICS summit in Johannesburg, South Africa and the issues on the agenda of this summit.
In this telephone conversation, the status of the Islamic Republic of Iran's membership in BRICS and the priorities of the meeting of the leaders of this group in Johannesburg for accepting new members were discussed, and Amir- Abdollahian appreciated India's positive efforts in this regard.
