Iran Press/Iran news: The US Secretary of State has accused Iran of escalating tensions in Yemen.
Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Wednesday: "The aggressors and enemies of the Yemeni people who have killed innocent Yemenis for 6 years, destroyed the resources and infrastructure of the great country and sold arms to the Saudi coalition, now they know that their inhumane military strategy against the resilient Yemeni nation has failed."
"They (Enemies) want not to take responsibility for these crimes and divert the public mind, while the historical memory of the Yemeni people and the world will never forget their crimes, and they will remain as infamous in history."
Khatibzadeh stressed: "The new US administration claims that it is trying to end the war in Yemen, but we have not seen any practical action to stop the aggression of the Saudi coalition, and the new US administration continues the way of the previous administration and claim that making peace in Yemen is just in words."
He added: "Iran's position has been clear since the beginning of the Yemeni war, and we have always emphasized that there is no military solution to the Yemeni crisis, and in this regard, Iran submitted four-point Yemen peace plan to United Nations at the beginning of the war remains a fundamental solution."
The spokesman stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran continues to use all its capacity to move forward the UN efforts to establish peace in Yemen and to support any efforts to end the aggression against the Yemeni people." 101
