Sanders: Trump seeks to reduce American turnout

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders accuses US President Donald Trump of undermining postal voting and said Trump seeks to reduce turnout in the upcoming US presidential election by weakening postal voting.

Iran Press/America: Sanders tweeted that Trump wants postal voting to be delayed so that fewer people can vote. He added that if the turnout is low, Trump's chances of winning the election will increase.

In the United States, people who do not want to go to the polls to vote are allowed to vote in the form of an absentee ballot.

Millions of Americans are expected to vote through the post in the November 3 presidential election due to the widespread outbreak of the Coronavirus in the United States.

But Trump opposes holding the US presidential election via postal service.

On July 30, 2020, Trump objected to the by-elections by claiming the possibility of fraud in postal elections and called for a postponement of the 2020 US presidential election.

Trump's stance was widely opposed by Democrats and even Republicans.

The results of most polls in the United States in recent months show that Democratic presidential rival Joe Biden is ahead of Trump.
