Tehran (IP) - Tajikistan Cultural Week has been kicked off in three Iranian cities, Shiraz, Tehran, and Tabriz, from October 1 to 8.

Iran PressIran News: The event encompasses different artistic performances such as theatre, music, and poetry recital by the Tajik poets, as well as paintings, photographs, handicrafts, and national costume exhibitions. 

The event's opening ceremony will be held in Tehran with the presence of the two countries' Ministers of Culture and a number of Iranian and foreign artistic figures. 

Holding of Tajikistan Culture Week was proposed by the Tajik Ambassador to Tehran, Nezamodin Zahedi, as he met with the Head of Iran's Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations, Mohammad-Mahdi Imanipour.
