Iraqi sources reported a drone attack on an airport in Sulaymaniyah of Iraq on Monday, in which one was killed and six others were injured.

Iran PressWest Asia:  A security official in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq said that an explosion in Arbat Airport, south of Sulaymaniyah, left several injured, yet there is no information available about the cause of the explosion and whether it was a terrorist attack or not. 

Saberin News Telegram Channel said that one person was killed and several others were wounded, but the cause of the explosion in the airport is not yet clear.  

Baghdad al-Youm also reported the attack of an anonymous drone on the airport but released no more information about that.  

Established in 2005, Arbat Airport is considered the third airport of the Kurdistan Region and the seventh agricultural airport of Iraq. 

Earlier, on September 9, several drones of the Turkish army hit a village in the Mawat District of Sulaymaniyah province.
