Kabul (IP)- Tens of thousands of people gathered in different cities of Afghanistan, including Kabul, to condemn the burning of the Qur'an by the Swedish extremist politician.

Iran PressAsia:The rally came after a notorious Swedish-Danish extremist, Rasmus Paludan, received permission from Sweden’s government to burn the holy book in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm less than a week ago.

Paludan was being protected by the Swedish police while committing the sacrilege.

Afghan protesters in Kabul on Friday evening condemned the move, calling it an inhumane, non-Islamic act and an insult to the beliefs of Muslims. The demonstrators in Kabul burned the Swedish flag and chanted slogans of death to America, death to NATO, and death to Sweden.

The people of Afghanistan also emphasized the trial and punishment of those who insult Islamic beliefs.Afghan scholars in Kabul have also called cutting ties with countries that insult the Holy Qur'an.
