Iran Press/ Iran news: The top commander of Iran's Navy Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi told IRIB correspondent in the Holy city of Mashhad on Thursday:" Proudly I would like to inform the great nation of Iran that the Northern region consisting the Indian Ocean together with Iran's Strait of Hormuz as well as Oman Sea is considered as the safe and secure region.
Iran's top Navy official went on to say that the security of the aforementioned region is the result of the authority and power of Iran's Armed Forces, Iran's Army and Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as well as Iran' s navy.
Khanzadi explained further that is the resulting maritime security is stable, Iran Press reported.
Khanzadi also highlighted that safeguarding the maritime security is Iran's mission in the national, regional and international scale. Referring to the Joint trilateral naval exercises of Iran, Russia, and China as the three major maritime powers which is going to take place in the upcoming days in the north of Indian Ocean.
Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi went on to call it in line with Iran's mission of providing security in the region.
Khanzadi highlighted that the trilateral military event is aimed at promoting security and its principles in the region.
"The countries which have more close relationships in the fields of political, economic, social aspects, as well as the security and defensive ones, pull together to provide security to pave the ground for such communal move" added Khanazdi.
Iran's top navy commander explained further that the Join trilateral naval exercises of Iran, Russia, and China is going to launch at port of Chabahar in the upcomming days and it will be developed to the north of the Indian Ocean.
According to Khanzadi, the various tactical drills have been on the agenda and Iran's navy together with that of Russia and China will cooperate in full harmony and coordination.
