Tehran (IP) - New Navy achievements such as optimized prototype UAVs, advanced radars, and the Jask-2 subsurface-to-surface missile system were put on display.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the Naval Achievements Exhibition, the Head of the Research and Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization of Iran's Navy Admiral Majid Maghsoudi stated that the Navy is an equipment-oriented force that has a lot of equipment in the surface, sub-surface, and above-surface areas.

Maghsoudi noted that for the first time, a set of subsurface parts, which is considered crucial and its entry into Iran has been difficult due to sanctions, has been made with the help of knowledge-based companies and using the internal capacity.

He explained that vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drones were also displayed in the exhibition, which significantly increased operational capability and flight continuity compared to the samples presented in the previous year's exhibition.

"In the field of electronic equipment, we have made new advances in radars and sonars, and new versions of these radars have been provided to the Navy," he added.

"We have made good progress in target identification equipment, and the Jask-2 subsurface-to-surface missile system has been mass-produced in the defense industry complex after field tests," the admiral concluded.

Exhibition of capabilities, technical and specialized achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army's strategic Navy was inaugurated on Tuesday.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of Commander of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, Vice President for Science and Technology, Sorena Sattari, and Head of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Shirazi and other officials.
