Iran Press/ Iran news: At this ceremony, head of the Tehran City Council Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani said that as long as Tehran has such a history and civilization, that brilliant history would express itself. "We as the officials invite people to fight air pollution and counter social problems like addiction. It is our duty to do so," he added.
FM Zarif speaking at Tehran Day ceremony stated: "There are two points to mention: the first is about identity and the second one is on citizenship. Identity means talking and communicating with others. Identity is a prerequisite in order to be present in society. We are proud of our identity and history, but we don't show it off. We all will leave behind economic problems. Identity means having security to hold negotiations with others. Today, I am the 'Hope' initiative messenger and I convey this message to all our friends and neighbors." 207/219.
