Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the inauguration ceremony of the Ministry of Oil's national projects, on the second day of the Government Week, said via video conference: "We see oil and gas together. The gas industry is a huge industry that produces clean energy for us. It is and will be the source of the country's development, and it is an infrastructure industry that prepares a larger industry such as petrochemicals. It has also has connected Iran to its neighbors.”
Rouhani added: "Today in the west of the country, we export gas to both Turkey and Iraq, and we are able to export gas to the eastern countries. We took the gas pipeline to the border with Pakistan, which was a great job in the 11th and 12th governments."
The President also stated that about 17,000 villages in the 11th and 12th governments were connected to the national gas network.
"The gas network that we see in Iran today is unique in the world, meaning that all villages and cities, almost 95%, use gas. All cities of Iran use it, except for the cities of Sistan and Baluchestan, where gas entered it in the 11th government,” he added.
President Rouhani said: "In gas production, from 600 million cubic meters, we have reached nearly one thousand million cubic meters today, i.e. one billion cubic meters per day. In winter, we will provide about 800 million cubic meters of gas to houses."
According to Rouhani, the value of the projects that were inaugurated today is about $ 4.7 billion, which is a huge job under the current sanctions.
President Rouhani highlighted that if President Trump had not come to power in the United States and JCPOA had gone its way, added: "In the center that we opened today - we would be producing more than one million barrels of oil instead of 400,000 barrels."
