913 diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered: Health Ministry Spokesman

Tehran (IP): Iran's Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoosh Jahanpour announced that 1,234 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and the spike can be associated with more laboratories carrying out coronavirus testing.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at a news conference on Friday 6 March, the spokesman Kianoosh Jahanpour said there are 1,234 new cases of coronavirus infections in the country, increasing the total number to 4,747.

"The vast majority of cases are in Tehran, with 1,413 infected," he said.

Kianoosh Jahanpour went on to say that 124 people have died from the disease and 913 people have recovered. The number of recovered people is a significant figure among countries dealing with the coronavirus outbreak.

Iran's Health Ministry Spokesman also cautioned people against travelling to different regions of the country and tourist destinations such as Isfahan, Gilan, Mazandaran and southern provinces of Iran.
