Vienna (IP)- The 8th OPEC International Seminar kicked off in Vienna, the capital of Austria, with the presence of the Iranian Minister of Petroleum.

Iran PressEurope: Javad Owji, Iranian Minister of Petroleum, is one of the Confirmed Speakers who attended the 8th OPEC International Seminar.

The 8th OPEC International Seminar kicked off with the aim of sustainable and inclusive energy transition on July 5. 

The 8th International Seminar of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is held on Wednesday in Vienna's Hofburg Palace with the OPEC member countries' Oil and Energy Ministers, oil-producing and energy-consuming countries.

The meeting focuses on energy challenges, including energy security, technology, environment, sustainable development, and energy policies.

Haitham Al Ghais, OPEC Secretary General, said:" The OPEC International Seminar has an outstanding record for both the caliber of participants and the high level of discussions that take place on the leading issues affecting the energy sector, especially at this critical time in the global industry. OPEC Secretary General referred to the role of oil as the essential fuel in the life of humankind and billions of consumers worldwide.          

Al Ghais added that all voices of energy producers and consumers will be heard.
