Tehran (IP) - The 8th day of the 40th Fajr International Theater Festival hosts theatrical enthusiasts on Monday at the City Theater of Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: Fajr International Theater Festival is one of the most important theater festivals in Iran, which is held every year on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in February.

The festival is often competitive and has a variety of sections, including a stage performance section, an international section, a radio performance section, a tele-theater section, and a street performance section.

Along with this excitement were the audience and lovers of the performing arts who were accustomed to warming up the festival during the days of the Fajr Theater Festival and the plays of its artists, especially in the street theater section in the outer courtyard of Te'atr-e-Shahr.

The 40th Fajr International Theater Festival will be wrapped up at Vahdat Hall, and the chosen ones in different sections will be introduced.

The City Theater of Tehran was the scene of several street theaters and stage performances.

Tajikistan is the special guest of this year's festival.

Troupes from Italy and France have canceled their performances at the Iranian festival due to COVID-19 restrictions for departure from their countries.

Groups from Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Algeria, and several other countries are scheduled to perform during the festival, which will run until tomorrow, February 15.
