A 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit Maraveh Tappeh in Golestan Province northern Iran, on Saturday.

Iran Press/Iran news: The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the University of Tehran Seismological Center.

The epicenter of the quake was located at 55.98 degrees longitude and 38.09 degrees latitude.

Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the affected areas to assess the situation.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage.
