Iran Press/ Iran news: The press conference of the 42nd Fajr International Theater Festival and the poster unveiling ceremony of this festival was held on Sunday with the presence of Kazem Nazari, Director General of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mehdi Hamedsagayan, Secretary of the 42nd Festival in Tehran.
The secretary of the 42nd Fajr Theater Festival said: From mid-August, I established the main policy of the festival and chose revolutionary, Islamic, national, and historical values. The motto of the festival is hope, cheerfulness, and empathy.
Stating that this year's festival has 12 sections, five of which are new, Hamed Saqayan explained: These five sections include student sections, television theater, Gaza's national identity, and an inclusive section, for the first time.

He added: This year we had a theater festival in all provinces and competitions were held in four regions.
The secretary of the 42nd Fajr Theater Festival stated: In this event, we will have 34 shows in the Iranian Theater Competition. 25 shows compete in the student section and 33 shows are performed in the street section. Also, 11 shows compete in the radio theater section.
In the international section Armenia, Greece, Tajikistan, Iraq, and Italy are present, he noted.
Hamed Saqayan stated: The national identity section deals with martyrs and national heroes such as Qassem Soleimani and Malik Al-Shaarai Bahar. This section has a separate jury. There are 9 shows in the Gaza section and 21 shows are competing in the inclusive (disabled) section with the help of the welfare organization, he concluded.
