Tabriz(IP): The ceremony of baptism and the new year of Orthodox Armenian Christians was held in the Saint Sarkis Church of Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan province.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iranpress, Orthodox Armenians celebrate the Christian New Year six days after the beginning of the new year. A group of Christians living in Iran prayed for a year of peace, tranquility and unity for the Christian community and the general public of Iran at the beginning of the new year in Tabriz's Saint Sarkis Church.

Archbishop Grigor Chiftchian, the archbishop of the All Armenians of Azerbaijan, in an interview with an Iran press correspondent in Tabriz, expressed the commonality of all religions in the existence of the afterlife and said: "Christianity, Islam, and monotheistic religions, in general, believe in the existence of God."

Archbishop Grigor Chiftchian also condemned the terrorist attacks in Kerman and noted: "Armenians quickly condemned the actions of the perpetrators of the terrorist explosion in Kerman Martyrs' Cemetery, and this crime shows the fear and cowardice of the agents of Global arrogance toward martyr Soleimani." 219
