Iran Press/ Middle East: 31 Kuwaiti associations and unions issued a joint statement on the deal, saying they oppose any normalization of relations with the occupying regime.
The statement declared that normalization with Israel was not a perspective but a "betrayal," and that the recognition of Tel Aviv was unequivocally a crime against Palestine and the Palestinian people, as well as the Arab and Muslim societies.
The statement said: "The UAE stabbed the Palestinian people and the Arab nations from behind by normalizing relations with the Zionist regime."
The statement also said that the issue of Palestine is the first issue of the Arab countries as the Zionist regime continues to oppress the resilient Palestinian people.
The groups added that the Zionist regime denies the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and ignores international resolutions regarding the city of Jerusalem and the return of refugees.
The Kuwaiti groups also stressed their full support for the Palestinian people's right to resist the occupying Zionist regime and appreciated the Kuwaiti government's stance on Palestine.
Israel and the UAE agreed to normalize relations, US President Donald Trump said Thursday, in a move forestalling Israel's controversial plans to annex large swathes of the occupied West Bank.
The development marks only the third time an Arab nation has opened full diplomatic ties with Israel, and the Emirates is now the first Persian Gulf Arab state to do so. Egypt and Jordan also have diplomatic ties with Israel.
