Iran Press/West Asia: Israeli military airstrike targeted a vehicle on the road in Sidon at Lebanon Army checkpoint leading to the death of three civilians and the injury of 8 others including 3 Lebanon army forces and 5 UNIFIL forces from Malaysian Army, Lebanon Health Ministry said.
The airstrike was conducted when the UN Convoy carrying UNIFIL forces was passing at the 'Awali River' checkpoint.
UN said that since September 29, more than 20 times UN peacekeepers have been targeted.
Lebanon Army in a statement said that an Israeli strike on a car passing through a Lebanese army checkpoint at the entrance to Sidon killed three people and wounded three soldiers as well as 4 UNIFIL peacekeepers who were part of a convoy passing through.
UNIFIL in a statement about the Israeli strike on the outskirts of Sidon in Lebanon said that 5 of its "newly arrived" peacekeepers were injured in the drone strike.
