China (IP) - Iranian athletes won 3 medals, one silver, and two bronzes, on the second day of the 2023 Asian Games underway in Hangzhou, China.

Iran PressAsia: Iran's Mahdi Haji-Mousaee, a male taekwondo player in the -58 kg weight category, went on Shiapchang (taekwondo mattress) on Monday against his South Korean rival in the finals, but he was overcome 2-0 by the Korean athlete, thus sufficing to the silver medal.

Still, Mobina Nematzadeh, an Iranian female taekwondo player in the -49 kg weight category, was defeated by her Chinese rival in the semifinals and sufficed for the bronze medal. 

In fencing, Mohammad Rahbari from Iran was overcome in the semi-finals by his South Korean rival in the Sober weapon category and won the gold medal.
