(IP) - Iranian wushu taolu athlete Zahra Kiani claimed a silver medal in the Women's Qiangshu Final of the 2022 Asian Games underway in Hangzhou, China.

Iran PressAsia: Lai Xiaoxiao of China won the gold medal in the Women's Jianshu & Qiangshu All-Round and the bronze medal went to Vietnamese Duong Thuy Vi.

With more than 12,000 competitors from 45 nations and territories, the 2022 Asian Games has more participants than the Olympics.

Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.

The event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will now take place in 2023.
