Tehran (IP) – Deputy minister of health and medical education said 170 beds had been reserved for COVID patients in Loqman-e Hakim Hospital.

Iran Press/Iran News: Responding to Iran Press' question, Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Education Qasem Jan-Babaei stated that Loqman Hospital had COVID diagnosis equipment and services, namely, an independent CT scan for COVID patients.

In response to Iran Press regarding the COVID vaccine injection process, the Head of Tehran Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, Alireza Zali, announced that with proper logistics and import of COVID vaccine, vaccination would be carried out faster from the next week.

Noting that vaccine injection was opened in different parts of Tehran yesterday, Zali said: "As soon as the vaccines are provided to us, the vaccination process will be carried out faster."

He went to say that about 1.7 million people over the age of 60 should be vaccinated in Tehran and that the majority of people over the age of 80 had received the vaccine.
