Iran Press/Asia: A group of terrorists attempted to attack a Security Forces Check Post in the general area of Makeen, South Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The attempt was thwarted by Pakistani troops, in the ensuing fire exchange, eight terrorists were killed. However, during intense fire exchange, Sixteen security personnel were also killed.
Sanitization operations are being conducted in the area.
