Peshawar (IP) - During ongoing tribal clashes, two more people have been killed and ten injured in different areas of the Kurram district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while fourteen people have been killed and twenty-seven injured in the last 24 hours.

Iran PressAsia: A total of 124 people have been killed and 178 injured in firing incidents in Kurram district in the past ten days.

Traffic is closed on the main highway of Kurram district and the Pak-Afghan Kharlachi border. The conflict between the tribes began when 52 people, including women and children, were killed in a firing incident on passenger vehicles of Shia Muslims in Parachinar in Lower Kurram on November 21st.

The series of firing and clashes that started in different areas after the attack on passenger vehicles is still ongoing. However, according to Deputy Commissioner of Kurram district, Javedullah Mehsud, mobile and internet services have been restored in the area and negotiations have begun with representatives of both sides to establish peace.

He expressed hope that significant progress is expected in the talks regarding the ceasefire, after which steps will be taken to open the transportation routes as well.
