Iran Press/ Iran news: In a remarkable display of Iran's naval prowess, the Iranian Navy's 86th flotilla, consisting of the indigenously manufactured Dena destroyer and Makran forward base ship, received a triumphant welcome on Sunday. Over the course of eight months, the flotilla navigated an impressive 63,000 kilometers of sea routes, successfully completing a full 360-degree circumnavigation of the globe.
Rear Admiral Shahram Irani in an exclusive interview with Iran Press, said that despite the mischief of the enemy and efforts to prevent Iran's communication with other countries, the diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran took place at the highest level.
Iran's Navy chief added: "In the mission, our unofficial request from one of the countries was officially approved and accepted, and in the countries where the enemy thought we could not be present there, we were present with pride and authority."
Referring to the internal power and capacity of the Navy in the mission, he stated that due to the unique equipment and characteristics that Iran had in the sea area, were able to accomplish the mission with the highest quality.
Irani emphasized: "The enemy thought that the sinister triangle of conspiracy, restriction, and sanctions could hinder the forward movement of the Iranian Navy, but our youth, scientists, and industrialists stood at the peak of honor and conveyed the message of their authority to all countries."
