Iran's Velayati:

Tehran (IP)- The senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for international affairs said that the condition for the United States' return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is the lifting of all oppressive sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an interview with KHAMENEI.IR, Ali Akbar Velayati, Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for International Affairs, stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran reduced its nuclear activities after the nuclear deal in 2015 based on the agreement with the P5 + 1 and had no delay in this regard, but on the other hand, the Americans temporarily lifted some sanctions and at last withdrew from the agreement."

The advisor stated: It is important and unfortunate that the three countries of France, Germany, and Britain, which represent the European Union, also imposed many restrictions on Iran in obedience to the United States and had some indirect sanctions; But Russia and China helped as much as they could and kept their promise.

"With such a history of abuse by the Americans in fulfilling their obligations, Iran has the right to be pessimistic about continuing the negotiations, in addition to the fact that Iran has suffered damages and it must be compensated," he noted.

Stating that the nuclear industry is an important one and is related to about five hundred industrial and scientific fields, Velayati stressed: Any country who is a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) has the right to enjoy the peaceful benefits of nuclear know-how, and no state has the right to deprive itself.
