The Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that journalists are always truth-tellers and should give society vigilance and accurate information.

Iran Press/Iran news: During a ceremony held to mark Journalist Day on Monday, Brigadier General Hossein Salami stated that journalists can reflect the facts in a way that makes hearts anxious, disappointed, and depressed, saying that making instant communication has become possible and has targeted minds and hearts.

He said that the world is formed by the way human beings think and the actions and counteractions happening in the universe in the echo of the very thoughts.

General Salami also highlighted the fact that the world is a battlefield of the media, narratives, and thoughts and said that in the current world images and words have power.

Salami further noted that journalists should be calm and psychologically safe to broadcast the news as best as possible.

Salami pointed out: "Whether in natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes or in the front line of war, we have journalists by our side, and sometimes they even go further than imagined in the heart of the events."

August 7 in the Iranian calendar is named the Day of Journalist; on Such a day in 1998, a reporter of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) along with 8 Iranian diplomats was martyred by the Taliban at the Iranian Embassy in Kabul.
