Iran Press/ Iran News: Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Education Iraj Harirchi stated on Saturday during a press conference via video conference that his country is fighting both sanctions and the Coronavirus, and the need to help the poor is evident in the decline of oil revenues.
He noted that using masks is necessary for COVID-19 patients and those who are treating them. Although it is recommended that ordinary people use masks only in some places, the World Health Organization still recommends that masks are unnecessary for normal people. If you are a healthy person, it is recommended to use it when caring for a COVID-19 person.
Deputy Health Minister also stated: "Public transportation has accounted for 26.5 percent of the outbreaks of corona disease in our country. We have had other factors ranging from 2% to 5% and even less than 1%. 11.5 percent of schools and 7 percent of universities were the causes of infection."
He added, "The municipality has cooperated well. In terms of theory, plans have been made, such as distance in the subway, buses, and taxis. We have to assess whether it is operational or not. One of the criteria for reopening is the ability of public transportation to transport people, especially during peak hours."
"If schools and shops open, we will have to look into the situation," he said adding: "Today, only government offices with two-thirds of its staff and essential shops are open. If low-risk shops are opened next week, it will be a cause for concern. The reopening of various businesses must be examined to see how dangerous it is, and also the public transport must be calculated, on the basis of which action should be taken."
