Tehran (IP) - Iranian Government Spokesman Ali Rabiei stated in his weekly press conference that the US-Israeli plan in which Palestinian rights are being violated has no legitimacy.

Iran PressIran news: Iranian Government Spokesman Ali Rabiei in his weekly press conference referred to the so-called 'Deal of the Century' and said: "In recent days, the United States has presented the so-called 'Deal of the Century' to create an alleged peace and to put more pressure on regional countries in order to stabilize Israel."

He went on to say: "The US has once again shown how big powers do not recognize the rights of weak people. This plan in which the rights of Palestinians are being violated has no legitimacy. The plan attempts to legitimize past illegal occupations and annexations by Israel, and recognizes new ones by breaking all international obligations."

"Palestine belongs to the Palestinian people, and only they can decide for themselves. Any plan like this that violates their rights is a disgrace that will not be accepted by any free nation."

Rabiei also referred to the upcoming parliamentary election in Iran and said: "The establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran did not happen by the decree of a specific person or group, but was a public demand led by Imam Khomeini. Today's system cannot continue its way without the presence of the Iranian people."

Iranian Government's spokesman also called on all people to take part in the parliament elections, saying, "The more the voice of the people inside the country is heard, foreign voices that do not want the benefit of the Iranian people will not be heard. The best way to achieve this goal is by taking part in the elections."

Unlike the US, Iran stands by China to tackle Coronavirus

Rabiei further referred to the Coronavirus, stating, "In the past few days we have faced a global health threat. The coronavirus is a threat and a global health issue. We have no doubt that the Chinese people will overcome this threat alongside the world. China has tackled such diseases in the past, including SARS. Now the Chinese government has made every effort to overcome this crisis. All countries must work to combat this virus."

"Unlike the United States, which has expressed satisfaction with the situation and sees it as an opportunity for getting economic profit, the Iranian government stands by the Chinese nation to fight the Coronavirus. The government and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education have done their best to protect their citizens' health, so we decided to suspend direct flights to China until the country is ready to control the virus," he added.

Rabiei further said, "A flight on Tuesday will transfer Iranians, mostly students, from Wuhan to Tehran. The flight will be deployed with the medical team and will quarantine those people."
